About This Application
MarathonScience App is an internal content scheduling tool operated by Marathon Science ("we," "us," "our"). This privacy policy describes how the application handles data.
Data We Access
This application accesses the following data through the TikTok API:
- Our TikTok account information: Basic profile data for the Marathon Science TikTok account, used to authenticate and publish content
- Publishing status: Response data from content uploads (publish IDs, processing status) to confirm successful posting
Data We Do Not Collect
This application does not:
- Collect, store, or process personal data from TikTok users
- Access other users' profiles, videos, comments, or engagement data
- Use cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics on TikTok users
- Share any data with third parties
- Sell or monetize any user data
Data Storage
Authentication tokens (access token, refresh token) are stored securely on our private server with restricted file permissions (chmod 600). Tokens are refreshed automatically every 24 hours. No TikTok user data is stored in any database.
Post metadata (publish IDs, timestamps, URLs) is stored in local JSON files for our internal content tracking.
Data Retention
Authentication tokens are retained only as long as needed for the application to function. Post metadata is retained indefinitely for our internal content management records.
Third-Party Services
This application uses Cloudinary (cloudinary.com) to host media files that are then published to TikTok via URL. Cloudinary's privacy policy applies to media stored on their platform.
No other third-party services receive data from this application.
Children's Privacy
This application does not interact with, target, or collect data from children or any TikTok users.
Changes
We may update this policy as needed. Updates will be reflected on this page with a revised date.
